You might want to look for the larger, fiberglass reinforced Dremel cutoff
wheels. More expensive than the more fragile ones, but worth it. They last
much,
much longer. I use them a lot. Safety glasses are still mandatory, though.
I used the same technique to remove rusted sleeves on the inner/lower pin in
the past. Just be very careful not to cut too deep, into the pin itself. You
might not even need to cut the whole way through the sleeve, just weaken it to
the point it will break or tear. Go slow and carefully.

Thanks for all who replied to my query.
I think I will try Jack's suggestion with the dremel since I have the dremel
in hand. Sounds like it should be be easy enough as long as I dont run out of
the cutting wheels. They are fragile as heck. One false move and "Bing".
Safety glasses are a must for this tool!
