This has been passed around privately for a few weeks, but seems worth
posting to the entire list ...

Most of you will remember Robert B Houston, whose signature reads "Texan
living in New Mexico". He's a long-time Team.Net list member (although a
relatively recent addition to the 'big' Triumphs list).

His family has recently suffered a severe loss, in the form of the sudden
death of his youngest daughter in a freak accident. She left behind two
children, ages 9 and 14, Robert's grandchildren. The son, 14, witnessed the
accident and obviously is extremely upset.

It's been reported that the family was saving for a trip to Disney World in
Orlando, and several listers have decided to try to make that a reality. Ed
Kahler (also a long-time Triumphs list member as well as various other
lists) is acting as the focal point, and is auctioning off some LBC parts
(both Triumph and other, lesser marques) to raise money for the cause. If
this sounds like something you would like to be part of, please check out
his web site at
www.justbrits.com
to learn more. (Start with the WHY link in the middle of the page first.)

Ed has also asked me to mention that he would be glad to accept any
donations of parts for the auction.

Obviously a trip to Dizzyworld is no compensation at all for the loss of a
mother/daughter, but it's hoped that "getting away" for awhile will be
therapeutic for all.

If nothing else, be sure to give those you love an extra hug today.
Randall
