Hi Chip:
There is a plate bolted to the front apron that the prop rod secures to but
that plate is unique to the TR2s prior to TS4228. The safety catch also
hooks on that early TR2 unique plate. TR2s after that commission number
and
all the way to the 3Bs were identical but totally different from the early
design. The early parts book calls it a "Bracket - safety hook engagement"
with a NLA part number of 602097. The prop rod is secured in that same
bracket.
Jeff Kelley in Coldwater, Michigan fabricated that bracket when his TS778
was missing it. Jeff may still have the drawings he took when he copied
the
