Sorry to beat this to death ... but I find it hard to believe distributor
40735 DM2 specs (late TR3, early TR4) are the same as 40795 25D (late TR4 and
TR4As).

Can someone submit 'Advance" and 'Vacuum' Test Tables from their TR3 WORKSHOP
MANUAL for distributor 40735 DM2 (Stanpart #208095) ?

Following is the 40795 25D (Stanpart #208972) standard engine distributor
table right out of TR4 & TR4A Factory Workshop Manual.

Distributor RPM (1/2 of engine speed)

800 rpm = 9-10 degree advance
600 rpm = 5-7 degree advance
350 rpm = 0-2 degree advance

The Vacuum Unit spec table 'translates' into 2-6-3.

Can someone please confirm/disprove that 40735 specs are same as 40795 specs?

Very hard to believe they would be the same.

<< In the meantime I bought a Lucas distributor # 40735A DM2, which the same
advance specs as the 40795.
