I've heard lots of good things about the Falcon system, but have no
direct experience with it. When I bought my TR4 several years ago, it
had a rather worn Monza system on it. It seemed a little loud for my
taste, but I stuck with it until the mounting point of the main
muffler rusted through and the the thing dropped to the roadway. I
had a local muffler shop throw something on that fit, but was never
happy with the sound at all, so I ordered another Monza system, and
just go around to installing it (or more correctly, having a local
shop install it) last week.

It seems a lot quieter than the old one that was on the car before. I
actually like the sound a lot. However, the installation was a bit
more involved than I originally anticipated (thus the need to involve
a muffler shop). There's no way this thing would have worked using
the original mounting points. The thing would have been located way
too far back (I thing the bracket on the muffler must have been
attached in the wrong place, as it was located further forward on the
muffler than on the old system - which wasn't mounted at the original
mounting point either). The shop had to do some
cutting/splicing/bending to get it tucked up in there good and
(hopefully) not hang on every little bump or grade change.

Isn't the Falcon system more or less the same design as the original -
just in stainless? I like the look of the up swept duel chrome tips
on the Monza system as well. Not sure how durable it is when exposed
to the elements, but since I only put 3 or 4 K miles on my car a year
and rarely drive it in wet weather.
