Well, there are perhaps 1000 people on this list and probably only 999 different
kinds of oily stuff one could pour in a crankcase ... so there have to be at
least two that agree !

But Valvoline full synthetic 20W50 is what I run in my Triumphs (since I live in
a hot climate), and it seems to work well for me.  If I lived farther north, I
might use 10W30 instead.  I can't prove that the extra cost of synthetic is
worthwhile, so maybe I'm just throwing my money away.  But I don't think so.
