Except that sometimes, only one piston will pop out.  If that happens, clean
and lube (with brake fluid) the piston that came out, and reinsert it.  Now
clamp the piece of wood against it, so the other one will pop out next time.
Then you should be able to remove the first piston by prying gently against
the lip.
