In some cases, they did.  In the places where they didn't, I guess they felt
it unnecessary.  No reason you can't add lockwashers (except where the
special bolts for the rear fenders almost touch the trunk lid).

Makes it a whole lot easier to get them apart next time.  And trust me,
there will be a next time.

TRF has them, Moss and other vendors probably do too.  I struck out looking
for alternate sources, my local "nut and bolt" supply didn't even have them
listed.
