The rubber hose with the bent tube should go into the air cleaner. The only
reason
was to vent the float chamber fumes into the air stream going into the engine.
Triumph didn't
plan on the float needle sticking or float sinking. remember these were new
cars and that
just didn't happen. They didn't think people would be driving them when they
got this old.
