Hi all,<br>
<br>
I&#39;ve got a question on the exhaust mounting on a Stag.<br>
<br>
I&#39;m fitting a new stainless exhaust system from Rimmers and a bracket c=
ame with the mounting kit (158382) which is shown as the mounting bracket f=
or the downpipes at the end where they attach to the mufflers.=C2=A0 On the=
 gearbox, the upper mounting bracket thst attaches to the tailshaft has a b=
racket coming off it that drops down with two holes in it.=C2=A0 My old dow=
npipes were attached directly to this bracket.<br>
<br>
So where does this exhaust mounting bracket go and what does it attach to?=
=C2=A0 Its triangular so to speak and has 3 mounting holes.=C2=A0 2 would a=
ttach to the downpipes presumably, but where does that bracket attach to wi=
th the 3rd hole?=C2=A0 The catalog shows a bolt with no nut implying it scr=
ews into a nutplate.=C2=A0 Does this bracket attach to one of the holes on =
the gearbox upper mounting bracket?=C2=A0 <br>
<br>

Hi all,<br>
<br>
I&#39;ve got a question on the exhaust mounting on a Stag.<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Stumped.=C2=A0 A picture would help.=C2=A0 Mine is a manual gearbox with A =
type OD, but it looks like the gearbox upper mounting bracket and this down=
pipe mounting bracket are common to all except the type 65 box.<br>
<br>
Any help appreciated.<br>
<br>
Thanks,<br>

Hi all,<br>
<br>
I&#39;ve got a question on the exhaust mounting on a Stag.<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Stumped.=C2=A0 A picture would help.=C2=A0 Mine is a manual gearbox with A =
type OD, but it looks like the gearbox upper mounting bracket and this down=
pipe mounting bracket are common to all except the type 65 box.<br>
<br>
Any help appreciated.<br>
<br>
Thanks,<br>
Frank<br>

 Triumph Owner,</p><p>=C2=A0</p><p>I=E2=80=99m sending this reminder to Tri=
umph Car Clubs and Standard Motor Car Clubs around the world, along with th=
ose who have submitted photos from past Drive Your Triumph Day activities.<=
/p><p>=C2=A0</p><p>Drive Your Triumph Day is next weekend, Sunday, February=
 10th. I=E2=80=99ve heard from many of you about group drives you have orga=
nized, which is great. If you haven=E2=80=99t planned anything there=E2=80=
=99s still time, or be sure and go for a drive by yourself.</p><p>=C2=A0</p=
><p>The concept is straightforward. On February 10th, go for a drive in you=
r Triumph or Standard. Take a scenic drive on a country road or out to lunc=
h, to the market, to work, where ever. Go for a drive alone or in a big gro=
up from your local Triumph or Standard car club. Take your spouse, buddy, c=
hild, grandchild or your dog; then take a photo. The photo is mainly of the=
 car, and the owner if possible, ideally in front a cool spot, landmark, sc=
enic view, in your driveway or in your garage. </p><p><br></p><p>If it=E2=
=80=99s the middle of the winter where you live and your car is in hibernat=
ion, or in the middle of a restoration, take a photo of it anyway. Send a h=
i-res photo to <a href=3D"mailto:driveyourtriumphday@gmail.com"; target=3D"_=
blank">driveyourtriumphday@gmail.com</a>, along with some basic information=
: owner=E2=80=99s name, year and model of car, and place photo was taken (c=
ity, state, country).</p><p>=C2=A0</p><p>Now the bonus info, which I=E2=80=
=99m very excited to share. In early January I was able to get in touch wit=
h Nick Black, Sir John Black=E2=80=99s son. We=E2=80=99ve exchanged over 20=
 emails covering several topics, of course including Drive Your Triumph Day=
. He=E2=80=99s very pleased about the event, and had read about it in the S=
tandard Car Review. He shipped me a DVD with some home videos, and most imp=
ortantly, he sent me a PDF of his book, Triumph &amp; Tragedy, instructing =
me that it=E2=80=99s OK to post on our website and distribute freely. I=E2=
=80=99ve loaded it on my Kindle, which works but the text is kind of small.=
 I=E2=80=99ve also loaded it on my iPad, which is better, and of course ver=
y easy to read on my computer.</p><p>=C2=A0</p><p>This is the link to the T=
riumph Travelers Sports Car Club, in our 61st year, the longest running act=
ive Triumph Club in the world. <a href=3D"http://www.triumphtravelers.org"; =
target=3D"_blank">www.triumphtravelers.org</a>=C2=A0=C2=A0There is a box on=
 the right side of the window labeled Quick Links, and the bottom one is th=
e link to Triumph &amp; Tragedy.</p><p><br></p><p>Be sure to contact me wit=
h any questions you may have, and thank you in advance for getting the mess=
age out to your members and friends to drive their Triumphs and Standard ca=
rs on February 10th.</p><p>=C2=A0</p><p>Regards,</p><p>Rye Livingston</p><p=
