Thanks for the reply.  The gage drops to zero when either wire is removed
from the sending unit.

All:
Any info on sending unit resistance (even from other Triumph lines such as
the TR4, 250, 6) would be appreciated - I am guessing that the same
supplier (Smiths) was used for multiple lines and that the values would be
somewhat similar.
