Greetings from sunny Philippines!
The 2nd Philippine International Historic Races unfolds on November 22-23,
1997 at the new Petron-Subic International Raceway in Subic Bay, Zambales.
About 30 classic and vintage sportscars from the Philippines and Overseas
will vie for top honors in two 10-lap Sprint races, a 37-lap Enduro, and a
hillclimb. The races are organized by the Manila Sports Car Club in
cooperation with the Japan Classic Car Association and managed by the Trade
and Show Management Inc.
The race is open to all pre-1973 classic sportscars from such marques as
Alfa Romeo, Corvette, Lotus, Shelby, MG, Austin Mini Cooper, Datsun,
Porsche, Austin- Healey, and Jaguar.
The major sponsors for the event are Jaguar Cars Philippines, Coca-Cola,
Racks, Bose, Ferretti Yachts, Cityite 88.3, dwTM 89.9, 99.5 RT, and
Automobilia.
