OK, JW, you asked for it......

I like my Production cars prepped to period spec. Makes 'em authentic,
keeps the costs down and levels the field.......How can some fool brag about
pulling me down the front straight by 4 car lengths when he has a 8,000rpm,
600 hp 351 c.i. motor in his GT350.....My reaction is generally something
like.."You should be ashamed that I caught up with you at turn 2......"...

1. Crank-fire, distributorless ignitions- Nope, but an MSD is ok for the
value of the rev limiter
2. Alternate transmissions-Nope
3. Dry sumps-Nope
4. Roller rockers and cams-Nope, live with the revs God gave you
5. Radial vs bias-ply tires-Bias ply, like the good ol days.....
6. Aftermarket heads and blocks- Get real!!
7. Your favorite issue............Period spec preparation........keep 'em
that way......

Ted
64 F.I. Corvette Roadster, track car since new, Religiously period
prepared.....
On its way to the HMSA sponsored 1st annual Coronado Vintage Races in sunny
San Diego this weekend.....:)

66 Porsche 912 Vintage racer....no period history...period spec of
course....it stays home this weekend.....
