Follow up on Ronin Thread...
Went and saw it last night...incredible chases....especially when you keep in
mind there was at least 1 more camera car involved....some very impressive
driving/coordinating from the stunt crew....also enjoyed seeing the Ferrari CA
Spyder being worked on in the shop...wonder if it was real or a fake ala
Ferris Bueller??? (no engine close ups)....also the 456 at the Hotel checking
in....lots of other interesting cars used in the movie...nitrous injected Audi
S8, BMW M5, Old Merc 450 or 6.9??, all of which end up totalled at some point.
Great engine sounds...and a nice piece of camera work, showing DeNiro pulling
the e-brake for a good ol' boy bootleg turn.....also a bit of humor with a
delayed reaction car falling off the top of a new car
transporter....definitely a car guys' must see flick. Some advice...leave the
wife/S.O. at home....mine was bored with it...the plot is a bit involved and
not many touchy-feely scenes for the insensitivity-challenged. However, glad
we saw it instead of ANTZ, which is what she wanted to see....oh well, next
time she gets her choice...
