Just a reminder that next Tuesday, August 17, 1999, is the deadline for
early registration for the Zippo United States Vintage Grand Prix at Watkins
Glen. You can enter online at the SVRA web site. The entry form is at:

If you haven't entered yet, this weekend would be a good time.
To sweeten the pot, Vintage Garage will donate a brick to the Watkins
Glen Motor Racing Research Library in the name of the winner of the "Car of
the Meet" award at this event. To see details about the brick, or if you'd

The Vintage Garage "Car of the Meet" award is a prestigious award. Points
are awarded for car appearance, finishing position, originality of car,
sportsmanship, distance traveled to the event, and car history or
uniqueness, but as Drew Carey says, "the points don't count". Bribes are
not accepted, but it helps if the judge knows that you are a member of the
vintage-race list. Please reply if you are attending. I'd like to post a
photo of each vintage-race-list car in the trip report.
