    You can.  But it will require similar skinny, hard tires like they had.  
Then lap times slow down and unless everyone does it, you will fall back down 
the grid.  Since the "racer" part of the vintage racer still wants to run as 
far up the grid as possible, not many folks opt for the hard, skinny, 4-wheel 
drift tires.
