personally i had a BLAST! driving a saab 93f on that course was a lot of
fun. VIR's corners are saab friendly! but driving a calorically
challenged saab is a bit rough on both the car and driver. (poor old car got
the flogging of it's life!) now evryone in my group knows what the back of
a saab looks like. i think i spent more time pointing other drivers by
than i did actually driving the car..lol! like i told peter krause and
nick england it's almost like doing the "saturday night fever" john travolta
disco maneuver. pointing evryone by! but the car was once again fun to
drive and freewheeling is a real hoot to try to learn at speed!
having 4 difrent bright colored saabs in the pits and on course attracted a
lot of attention. we had numerous visits from past owners of street cats
and racers that somewhere in their racing past had driven a 2 stroke saab.
the stories were great and it is nice to be responsible in part for those
stories to be brought back to mind by our presence this last weekend.

peter dunn's morgan gave him a few anxious moments both in the pits and on
course but all was well with the world by sunday' race. it was a 9 hour
haul home and we arrived last night just after midnight. on our way home
we began looking forward to the zippo gintage GP. possibly a few
hillclimbs are in the works to fill out the season?

the track was just wonderfull! the weather had a few anxious moments but
turned out to be perfect! the hospitality was top notch at a top notch
facility. anyone who has never had the chance to sample evrything this
facility has to offer is missing a true treat in quality and the experience
of a professionally run establishment! ( ruthless plug!. oops! a visit in
saab land in the pits by B.S. levy must have left an impression?????) lol!

a thank you to evryone involved both organisers and participants! we had a
great time and are looking forward to reunion 2002 !!!!!!!(2002? hmmm not a
BMW reunion in the process.....is there?)
chuck.
