Your helmet choice is certainly a personal one, but I would NEVER consider
getting into a race car without a full face helmet (even a closed car). The
additional protection afforded goes well beyond any other argument, in my
opinion. And, while you're at it, consider a horsecollar as a minimum, but
preferrably a HANS device, or other comparable neck protection system. Ask
yourself,
are you worth it?
For best prices, I've found it hard to beat Bell Motorsports in Oakland CA.
They have a website you can order on at <A

Bell and other lines as well. I've purchased at least 6 helmets from them for
myself and others and find they go above and beyond when it comes to service.
