O.K. ya got me! We usually don't leave So. Center so early then it is so
late getting to the top. I was afraid to say the usual 1/2 hour before we leave
in case the wooses might woose out, so I bumped it up an hour and a half: to
leave So. Center at 8;00 AM. Didn't want to have my head on a stick for
saying 7:30. Please try to get there for the gang. Of course we will wait a few
minutes for anyone that calls on our cell: 253-988-8767.
We'll be going north on I-405 and picking up Phil and Becky along the
way and Dave and maybe you on the ramp on our way to to I-5 then on to Smokey
Point rest stop for pickup and Mother nature It is about a fat hour (OK Becky?)
driveish. I seldom wear a watch, but John Snyder will be waiting to enertain
you until we get there. I dreamed he would be handing out hundred dollar
bills! We'll deside on Hwy9 or left of freway to conway and then over to 9 at
Smoky Point
It is supposed to be sunny at the top in the afternoon. Bring DA photo
machine.
We will stop for fuel then at Graham's store at Glacier as usual to top
off your picnic baskets and they have rest rooms as well as my brother has a
door on his new cabin and offered his throne room. Not a bad stop for us that
are still young enough to SKI as his motel is pretty much open to friends.
Yes, we have a foolish contest and a trophy for the lucky or not winner!!!!!
We'll leave Glacier together in one double group then after the ranger
station the lead cars will - and the scenic drivers will follow and stop for
pictures. Might be nippy and breezy so come layered, you know the drill.
To be clear::: I have the spare parts including Rotors (Walt alias Rotor
man) so don't let fear hold you back, as we've never left anyone stranded
yet and I don't plan to alter a perfect record.
Jim n Arlene and the AWSM-1 who by the way holds the record for the
most breakdowns
What can I say "Gold" Concours only means it's very original and in
excellent condition doesn't say anything about dependability caused by lack of
proper attention. I can tell true stories on some trailer Queens that came home
on the hookfrom their first few runs, so a down few minutes only hurts your,
pride not your Healeying true friends! We all love to show off, what great
brilliant master mechanics we are. BJ-9's welcome as always. Remember Roger who
most always drove his Jeep? and the Green MG again you'll wish youd brought
the 100-4 , and the Resale red RX-7 he plans to join us again.
Point: you come we'll get you home. I promise.
P.S. The Park people are leaving the "AUSTIN PASS" sign up just for us!!
