Jim, the people who stopped lead additives here argue that there is a 
so-called "lead memory" on engines which were run on leaded gasoline 
many years . They argue, unless you are doing racing or driving many  
thousands of miles a year, just forget the  additives. These  people are 
qualified chaps. In any case, someday when I pull the head off for some 
reason or other I will put in hardened valve seats.
