[Roadsters] carb oil--how much?

I don't remember if it is officially a weekly or monthly check item but it
takes a long time for it to go down. It doesn't leak out the bottom. It will
not go away from sitting. The oil slowly gets lost between the piston and dome
and leaks down into the carb. I'll bet there are some here that haven't been
topped up in years.

Keith,
How long should the oil last? Can it leak out?
Thanks,
Linda

It takes about a tablespoon of oil. If you look on the "tighten by hand" it
should have level marks. If not look down the hole and you will see a ring.
Fill to just below that level. If you get a little too much it will leak
into
the carb and go away with no significant effect.

I get a fair amount of stumble when the car is not warmed up. I check the
pots and I seem to have one that does not have enough oil in it. I did some

poking around and was not able to find out how much I will need to put in.

How can one tell if the pot is full enough?

Is is possible to overfill and thus have a detrimental affect?

TIA
