[Roadsters] Ohms and Coils

So four coils

0 Ohmage between + and -

Lucas between center post and +_ = 6.9
Heavy Duty Coil - one I had lying around 8.7 for same
Coil Linda lent me (12 v for EI applications) 11.5
Coil I bought from Dean 9

Ballast resistor I took from 510 - 0 ohmage between ends ( what is it supposed
to be?)

What do these measurements mean and do they give any clue as to which one
would be safe??
