Nah, man, I took it as a theoretical discussion, after a benign and reasonable query.

I'm probably to blame for the 'original air' satirical wisecrack others picked up on to continue this thread, long after the basic question was answered.

Really?!! You dudes are way too harsh. A guy asks the original color of the
wheels and you throw him into the "obnoxious purist" category. I think its a
legitimate question. Finding a real survivor of any make is next to
impossible. Restoring a car as close to original may not float your boat but,

This is almost TOO funny!

Whenever a "purist" in the Z / Roadster community gets a little too uppity
over how perfectly "original" state they've RESTORED their car to... I ask if
they have Factory Air in their tires.
