[Roadsters] Alternator question

  I installed a GM 45 amp 2 wire alt in my '69 1600. I installed a 30 amp
inline blade style fuse to protect the old wiring. Only once did I blow
the fuse, probably because I had on the head lights, driving lights, heater
fan, and an electric cooling fan. I replaced the fuse, turned off the
heater, and never had another problem.
The alternator will only make as many amps as it needs to satisfy the
draw on it. The 30 amp fuse kept it from making too much for the old
system. No problem. And I mounted it on the passenger side of the R16
using the early model alt mounting bracket.
