Ken,

Take a look at the photo Dave included in his most recent message. It's as
good as anything I can send, but it does not include the spring which goes
through the channel in the top. I wouldn't worry too much about that spring
part. A new top will not com with that part -- you need to salvage your
current one (which you don't have). It's supposed to hold the top closer to
the window glass to keep rain out, but my '67-1/2 doesn't have one. We got
caught in a pretty good rainstorm a couple of years ago, and no water got in
around the window.

I have two pair of them. I bouht a pair on eBay for my
'67-1/2, then saw another pair which was in noticeably better shape, so I
bought it, too. Don't need two, so I'd be willing to sell the one if you
absolutely have to have one.

Gary

Hi Gary,
I can't speak for Dave, but I would like to
see both.

I am in need of a new top for my '67, and the current top does
not even have the spring part.

Dave,
Are you talking about the main supports -- the parts to which the top
frame
attaches -- or the clips with the sprig wire attached? (The wire runs
through
a channel in the top fabric just above the windows, and the hook end
attaches
to a tab on the top frame near the windshield.) I can send pictures
of either
or both this weekend.

Gary

Hi, all.
soon i'll stop bugging you - i'm going to finish the car in the
next week or
so and take it up to the upholsterer to have the interior
redone (done) and
the top put on. i'm in need of pictures at the B pillar
where the convertible
top support/tensioners/mounts are. I have them
installed, but I have no idea
what to do with them. can anyone send me
some pics on how they go together
that I can print out for the
upholsterer? I WILL be driving that car this
spring!!!!! thanks! dave in
Dallas
