When was the last time you replaced the 3 rubber bake lines? That solved my
trouble with hard bakes.

Have you checked the thickness of your rotors? Have you confirmed the
calipers are moving fully? That was my issue, too thin rotors so no
clamping
force.

not really. got lots of different advice, but there aren't a lot of people
who really know the pre 67.5 cars. it stops ok, but it takes some effort.
the single master brake cylinder has to do a lot of work, and I think it is
working the way it was designed. which is why they went to the dual
cylinders in the later cars. I don't think you can compare it to a car
which has dual cylinders, and certainly not with any car which has a brake
booster. so until I can compare it with another, I'm not sure I really
have a problem. if there is anyone out there who has a pre 67.5 car, I'd
like to hear from them.

Did this ever get resolved? What was the outcome/issue on this one?

years ago we bled the brakes after putting in new master brake
cylinder and clutch. it is dot 5. please don't even discuss dot
3/4/5; that's not on the table. it seems hard to brake and hard to
stop. am I right in thinking first step is to bleed the brakes? then
start looking for other issues? I'm right in thinking these cars should
stop on a dime? not a long 20 dollar bill . . . .
