[Roadsters] Solex troubles

I had a look at my Mikuni Manual and we must have the same reference.
I can only suggest that the float needle valves are incorrect since they 
are supposed to have that spring loaded device inside them.
Then you would be able to set the level as per the Manual.

If you suspect a blockage, I would carefully remove the jets and pilot 
screws and squirt a good dose of carb. cleaner into the passages.
Do you have the Trouble Shooting pages at the end of the Manual, pages 
21 - 22?
