The Dates on the Web Site are the Correct Dates. A number of things =
were Modified and changed since the January Drifting. The Correct Dates =
are also in the February Drifting.
As I stated Earlier the Oct Dates were Set Long before anything was =
Locked in for MAM. Those are the Dates that were available and fit with =
the Solo II Program.
As far as the Sept 5 Marshalltown race, that was a Definite Choice that =
was Made by the Events Director and the Rules Director. We have had =
comments from a number of people that would like to enjoy the Long Labor =
day weekend with family or friends. We decided NOT to have ANY events on =
any type of Holiday, Easter, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, etc. As of right =
NOW we do NOT have Race Chairs for ALL of the Events. The Schedule was =
done in order to Facilitate the SOLO II program which is set up for the =
Majority of the population to enjoy. It is an event that does NOT cost =
the participant a lot of money. Our goal is to have the Solo II Program =
available for the as many people as possible. Conflicts will arise as =
there are a Lot of other SCCA Sanctioned Events that Members might like =
to attend. Not Everyone will be happy with the Schedule, our goal is to =
do the Best we can with what we have available, for the majority of the =
participants. No matter WHAT we do someone will not be happy. We will =
do what we can to work with the majority.
Thanks
Mike Slater
