What's happening with the temperature guage during the 4-6 laps leading up
to this? Do you run a thermostat? Has the system been bled of all large air
bubbles? Have you checked to see that water is flowing when the engine is
running? The impeller on the water pump can come loose from the shaft.

Subject: [Fot] Water after 5-6 hard laps filling overflow and such

Morning Members,

Got a 1300 Spitfire engine that will run great for 4-6 laps and then fills
the water overflow and starts to spit water out. Can't find a head gasket
issue, head isn't cracked, no water in the crankcase at all either. Everyone
I ask is baffled. HELP, tired of driving 500 miles to race and have this
keep causing bad weekends!!!
