[Fot] TR3 Leaf Spring Front Attachment Pin

When I restored my 1958 TR3A from 1987 to 1990, I had the body off.  I 
couldn't get these front pins out.  This was with 80,300 miles on the TR 
from new.  But there is no problem to remove or replace these springs with 
the body off.

In 2000, I drove my TR3A from Montreal to VTR in Portland Oregon (total 
mileage 7250 miles) and about 7 miles from home one of my rear springs 
broke.  I limped the rest of the way home.  The only way I could remove the 
springs from this front pin was to un-bolt the body and I jacked up the rear 
about 8 " so I could slide the original springs off - towards the outside. 
It was no big deal.  So my TR still has these front pins after 52 years. 
But the flat is still there to ensure that the pin doesn't rotate.  If it 
could, I would have replaced them.
