A fellow SVRA/VSCDA racer name John Ruth contacted me looking for help with
fasteners for TRIUMPH wire wheel adapters. I have zero knowledge
concerning wire wheels for TRIUMPHs. Can anyone help him? His request appears
below, including his email address (and in the Copy to; box as well). Thanks.

<<<-Hello Bill

Hoping you can help - I have a Turner Mk III that uses a lot of Triumph
parts - one part I am trying to get confirmation on is the nuts that hold the
knock-off adapter onto the hub. My Turner has special hex nuts that have a
conical seat (or bottom ) - the Turners were made with all kinds of other
companies components - though I suspect the nuts in question were sourced
from Triumph. As mentioned, the Hex nuts are special ones that have a conical
bottom to seat onto the hub (after the nut is tightened onto the stud and
bears against the hub). I know you race a TR3 and hope you can confirm the
type (design) of the special nuts to attach the knock-off extension to the
hub. I need to get hold of some new nuts - since 4 of mine parted company with
the car! John Ruth (jdruth at att.net) ->>>
