One minor note on the rods. I think that the early TR250/6 and Spit 1300 rods were a different casting than the later ones which had the same basic dimensions but different amounts of metal in various places and slightly different oil passages. Again, murky memory. Maybe I should go out to the garage, grab my calipers and rummage around. mjb.
