[Fot] Steering rack failure at Kcup

Group: Just a note on this, I called my sales Rep at Moss first thing
yesterday morning. He and I have discussed the issue many times this past
year as complaints started to come in. I believe all the previous failures
were in Europe, and Moss of Europe put the racks on shipping hold, although
they continued to sell them here. My Rep put me through to another person who
told me that the quick racks sold by the big three all come from the same
supplier and did this one come from Moss or one of the other two (Vicky Brit
or TRF). His main concern and primary question was if Bob was going to pursue
legal action. My impression is that they would really just like the issue to
disappear.
On my side, I have a Spitty in the shop that a previous shop just
put a quick rack in before the new owner came to me. I am going to remove the
quick rack and reinstall her original OEM rack after I freshen it up. I will
tell her that I refuse to let her leave my place with that rack in her car. I
could not let anyone use one of these with a clear conscience.

I
have one I installed in a street TR3 Im building. Im going to machine a
retainer to pin the steel housing to the casting. I thought it looked pretty
iffy when I first looked at it.
