The distance between the inner tie rods on the TR7 rack is very close to
the distance between the lower control arm inner pivot on the TR3, and you
can achieve a parallel with the tie rods and lower control arms with the
proper location of the mounting brackets. Bump steer is minimal if at all.
 The rack can be mounted directly over the front lower control arm inner
pivot bracket. The upper section of a two-piece TR3 steering column fits
perfectly with the lower section of the TR7 steering column with the OEM
U-joint.
