the TR6 and GT6 cams will physically interchange, but there are a vast
number of cam (timing) options

as others have suggested, you can't really just pick a cam in isolation.
many factors come into play

there is plenty of experience with 2000 & 2500 race engines and in
generally very high compression ratio is usual. 11:1 or greater  static,
but that will also depend on fuel being used

there is no point choosing a cam for a race engine if you want to street
drive it, and vice-versa, so step 1 is that decision. compromises usually
end up hopeless
