I received this from SVRA last night. It has some important items that will apply to the Kastner Cup at Mid-Ohio.  I hope to have some info regarding over crew passes after they meet with the track next week. As of right now SVRA still says its a go, Mid-Ohio still says its a go. The Governor of Ohio is slowly relaxing things.  We will have to be conscious of social distancing while still hanging out together. Based on what is currently happening in Ohio you should plan on making, buying, borrowing, stealing, some sort of mask to wear. Maybe we should have some kind of award for the most creative mask. 🙂  I expect to be making a bunch of updates come June so please keep an eye on the list as things start shaking out. Things are still very fluid currently. There are presently 56 Triumphs registered.

Getting Back On Track

"Our goal is to make racing with SVRA safer than going to the grocery store."

The health and safety of our racers, staff and workers is our top priority.  Anticipating our return to racing—we have been working with the tracks, public health experts and public safety professionals, to prepare a comprehensive operating plan that addresses COVID-19 and meets or exceeds, the health and safety standards and directives put forth by the CDC.

We are ready to go racing and committed to doing it responsibly!  Following are many of the procedures and processes that we will be implementing to create a safe event experience.

  *   Pre-Event: Information sent to staff and participants that outline the safety changes to procedures and processes
  *   Mandate: People participating in or working at the event must be healthy, with no fever, flu symptoms or other illnesses. Temps checked upon arrival
  *   Calls with event staff, event medical personnel and track personnel to review sanitizing, public health and safety procedures
  *   If you cannot attend an event, 100% of the entry fee will be credited towards a future event.  The credit does not expire
  *   Events will be closed to spectators until further notice
  *   Events will be live-streamed. Fans around the globe can enjoy the competition through free streaming media to their phones, tablets, and computers. LOAD-IN
  *   Social Distancing to be followed during the process
  *   Supply masks to truck drivers if they don’t have them
REGISTRATION

  *   Window ledges wiped down after each person
  *   Social Distancing on both sides of windows
  *   Each entrant will be given a pen, mask and personal hand sanitizer

TECH
  *   Tech to wear masks, gloves and shields
  *   Only one crew member per car while going through the tech line
  *   Limited cars and team members allowed in tech, no one allowed in the trailer
  *   Tech tools sanitized several times a day
  *   Practice Social Distancing when pulling Timing Results
  *   Radios wiped down each evening
DRIVERS MEETING
  *   Meeting via services like “Zoom” at pre-determined and published times
  *   Helmet stickers no longer used                                                              GRID
  *   Driver bands to be made visible to grid personnel to maintain Social Distancing
  *   Generous space between cars to maintain crew’s Social Distancing TIMING AND SCORING
  *   Area to be sanitized each day
  *   Practice Social Distancing when in Timing and Scoring room
  *   Post results to SVRA App and website to reduce need for hard copies
RACE CONTROL
  *   Area to be sanitized each day
  *   Practice Social Distancing when in Race Control                            PODIUM
  *   “No contact” trophy presentations
  *   Medals sanitized and put into individual bags
  *   Water and medals placed on table for pickup
  *   Only podium finishers in the podium area with steps placed 6 ft apart
  *   Family and team members need to maintain Social Distancing
CAR SHOW
  *   Cars lined up at least 6 ft apart
  *   Car information card filled out by entrant
BANQUET
  *   No Banquets or large gatherings until Social Distancing rules are lifted     CORNER WORKER/EMERGENCY SERVICES
  *   Chief Steward to meet with corner workers and emergency services staff to ensure they understand and follow Social Distancing and safety processes and procedures
IN CASE of ILLNESS DURING the EVENT
  *   Isolate the person
  *   Work with Track Medical or Ambulance personnel to obtain medical assistance
  *   Work with SVRA team to sanitize the area the person was in
  *   Sanitize area person was isolated to
  *   SVRA team to notify Race Director and President of situation
