Hi,
I run A7 on the IMSA TR8. They seem to last well. I run down the tire first, before the compound shows any change.
Next year I will try the Speedster on my TR4 for the first time. Curious how they will perform.
Cheers
Chris

Tony,
I do not have as much experience as the rest of the group on vintage tires. In March at the VDCA VIR Wild Hare, I ran a new set of Hoosier HOTDRs (24x7-15) for 1 qualifying, 4 races (I flat spotted one set in the first qualifying when I locked up). My best session was the last race on Sunday with this set. In April, I ran the same set for 4 more sessions at VIR again, running the tread down below spec. I understand the HOTDRs are actually the same compound as R7s. I have not run RRRs, but understand they are a little harder compound, and might last longer.
Sorry I missed everyone at Lime Rock – wish I could have been there, but was fun watching on youtube.
For what it is worth.

Are the Proxy RRR the go to tire ?
This past weekend at Lime Rock , I ran new Hoosier speedsters . After 5 heat cycles, they were absolutely rooted . Yeah, I ran them hard … but still :-/
Cheers
