[Fot] Race tires

It was so good to see all the great cars this weekend. I am glad I made it back from Utah in time to see the races on Monday. I have been mapping out my plans as we have a 2nd spit ready to come out of mothballs for next year. I wanted to get info on the tires as I want to test on them and make adjustments to the car(s) to accommodate the change. It appears the TDR is a good predictable tire and would not require too much change on my car from slicks. May need to play with rear camber a little bit. Excited to try them out.

In March at the VDCA VIR Wild Hare, I ran a new set of Hoosier HOTDRs (24x7-15) for 1 qualifying, 4 races (I flat spotted one set in the first qualifying when I locked up). My best session was the last race on Sunday with this set. In April, I ran the same set for 4 more sessions at VIR again, running the tread down below spec. I understand the HOTDRs are actually the same compound as R7s. I have not run RRRs, but understand they are a little harder compound, and might last longer.
