I used a POR-15 kit on an XJ6 tank 10 or 15 years ago. I really liked the results.
The kit came with the cleaner, etcher, an epoxy (?) liner fluid, and came with great instructions. It lays down a nice layer of epoxy in the tank.
I had a rad shop do a brand new XK-120 tank a few years ago, and must admit I didn’t like the results as much. The lining material was much thinner and I was concerned it would flake off - but have had no problems with it. I don’t think this method would fix small pinholes whereas I think the thicker epoxy of the POR-15 kit would.
