Somewhere there should be a note strongly suggesting
that participants become members of AAA or the Canadian
equivalent -- to get roadside service that (we tell them here)
we cannot provide.

I've added a new link on the webpage, called "Getting Ready". It links to
a magazine article from a couple of years ago that is a pretty good read for
getting the car ready for a long journey. It applies mostly to classics,
but those with more modern cars should have a read as well. From the main
webpage click on "The Tour", then on "getting Ready" at the lower left.
If anyone has information they would like to add to this, just drop me a
line.
