A modest proposal for increasing participation in the tour...

A major problem for many will be getting your Jaguar to/from the =
starting/ending points of the sectors you've chosen to participate in. =
This isn't a big deal if one end includes your home town, but if you =
want to sample a different part of the continent (or live on another one =
entirely), getting your car back and forth can make it one.=20

Hertz offers a special prestige vehicles rental program which of =
course (Ford owns both Jaguar and Hertz) includes Jaguars. Published =
rates are hardly low, but if you live on the east coast and want to =
(say) participate from Denver to Los Angeles, you could rent an X- or =
S-Type for two weeks for the cost of shipping your own baby back and =
forth.

Could the directors negotiate special rates and/or a sponsorship for =
those who find it impractical to ship their cars across the country?

We might also look into creating a resource list of automobile =
transporters.
