Jerry

Sounds good. I'll let Mark (as long as he is comfortable with the much
larger sector) flush out the more specific route. Or alternately we could
break this into two sectors if it's a tad large.

I'll send you my Streets & Trips file under separate e-mail ... please
correct it and send it back. SF Sector "goes on roads that don't exist" !
Maybe we should make this the "Land Rover Owner's North American Tour" ;o)

Bob,

That's the idea! There's an absolutely dynamite barbecue place --
several, actually -- in Brady! The backroads through there have 70 MPH
speed limits, and you can make good time. Another alternative would be
to bypass Austin to the North, there are some slow roads through
town.

There might be more fun roads a little further east than
the panhandle, I don't know for sure -- but the panhandle
is pretty boring, too. Mark might be able to suggest
something!

BTW, I have bought MS Streets 2004 -- I suppose I can now
generate maps that you can use directly? The SF route
is not exactly as I concieved it -- in fact, goes on roads that
don't exist!

  Mark/ Jerry

I've put together a very rough route (or rather the computer has) ... see
  http://jonat.org/bob/JONAT_SECTORS_MAP_03_HoustonSector%20ALTERNATE.gif

Is this the sort of thing you had in mind?

Since we don't have a Dallas Sector Coordinator at present, it leaves this
option open (but might mean Mark's sector grows a bit if he's up to this
challenge). Mark, let me know some specific thoughts on this (i.e. real
preliminary route), and I'll check if it meshes with the rest of the Tour.

I was actually considering doing just that, Jerry. April is a beautiful
time of year to enjoy the Hill country.
