I lived in Dallas for 8-years and made the trip to El Paso many times.
Going through Austin and then to Dallas is sort of going backwards isn't it?
Also during my time there I made the trip to Manhattan, Montana many times
as well. Although hardly an expert, I did get to see a lot of countryside.

Also don't forget that during this time of the year, you're right in the
middle of Tornado Alley and the weather can change in a heartbeat.

I haven't seen too many Jaguars used as storm chases.

The area just above Dallas/Ft. Worth on I-33 or is it I-31, can be a storm
chasers dream come true during that time.

Nothing and no one at my end. I drove through northern Kansas in January,
but that's the limit of my knowledge of the state. Last time I was in Texas
and Oklahoma was 1964.

Have you thought any more about changing the route out of Houston to the
west through Austin instead of north through Dallas? I've put a (LITTLE)
more thought into it, and the days to complete the alternate route would be
about the same so timing would be a non issue. I think it would be a
little much to split this between yourself and Robert in Denver, so we'd
likely need an additional sector coordinator between you two (?) - do either
of you have any contacts along this route that might be interested in
coordinating a Sector?

I guess I should back up a bit ... is this the route the Tour should take ?
