Dick

The question of people driving through the sector has come up a number of
times, and I've had a chance to give it a lot of thought (a lot of thought
but no definitive answer). I depends largely on how much PR is out there to
gain interest in the tour ... the PR is a two pronged affair, with JONAT
central doing the national PR, and the Sector Coordinator and his/her
committee doing the local PR.

As an example, our local sector, in the middle of the lightly populated
Canadian prairies, is expecting 25 to 50 cars. I figure if we can do this
here, the more populated areas of the continent should be able to scare up
quite a few more.

Having said that, why not start with a number of say 50, and use this as a
starting point. You should be able to gauge interest as time goes on.

I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to post this to the [JONAT] SC forum as
I don;t think this topic has come up in the last month or so.

  Bob,

On behalf of Jaguar Minnesota, it is a pleasure to serve as Minnesota
Sector Coordinator; George Arthur will be Assistant Sector Coordinator. The
Board of Directors of the Jaguar Club of Minnesota is fully behind this
project and is in the process of informing the total membership of this
exciting event. One of our first tasks will be to update the tour route
through this sector to take advantage of the beautiful scenic areas offered
by the "Land of 10,000 Lakes". I will be contacting Alan Heartfield in
Winnipeg and Tim Morris in Wisconsin Rapids -- with their assistance, our
route committee should be able to come up with an optimized route that will
insure a great driving experience and smooth hand-offs between the sectors.
As a rough approximation -- about how many cars would you predict would be
driving through the Minnesota sector?

  Best regards,
  Dick
