Unfortunately, Phil in Indiana had a date conflict, and had to resign as SC
of Indiana. Phil just barely got started, but did provide some valuable
input to us.
Phil did not had an ASC signed up, although he did try.
We now have a big gap though. We have Minnesota filled (Dick and George),
and it looks like Wisconsin will come through for us. However, between them
and Bob in Detroit, we have a big blank area, plus no-one in Toronto as of
yet. We do seem to have some interest on the south side of Lake Erie
(Ohio). The Tour has always been based on connecting areas with an interest
in organizing the Tour, filling in as we gather momentum. We have an
opportunity think about this portion of the route for a bit (only a short
bit though). The Wisconsin Sector ends in the Chicago area ... if we go
back to the original concept of running the Tour north of Indiana we might
even save the two extra days Alan in Winnipeg was looking for.
This would mean Bob's Sector might go from being very short, to one which is
quite a bit longer, starting in Chicago, running to Detroit. Perhaps we
could get one of the Ohio guys to Coordinate a new sector from Detroit to
Niagara Falls. Then maybe I could coerce Mike (and Phil) in Ottawa to pick
up from Niagara Falls rather than Toronto (i.e. an extra day at the
beginning of their sector).
This would make my life easier, but would certainly complicate the lives of
a few of you others.
