Not to be a pessimist - but I agree with Mike 100% and I have to ask , Bob -
In reference to you r comments below, are there ANY details that have been
decided on FIRMLY - seriously:
I don't think a:
1. fee has been decided for even the National side
2. route has been finalized ( guilty here as well in Virginia )
3. total of participants by sector has been mentioned
4. decision on who can participate has been finalized
5. process has been developed on how the SC's get reimbursed should
we/they cover some of the costs up front
Among others.....
While the ideas of emblems and badges and the sort are nice - We have got to
solidify some of these MAJOR issues here first - or the need for these other
details will obviously not be needed.
DIRECTION/DECISIONS FROM THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE IS REQUIRED ASAP
Sorry about being so frank but it is the jist of what Mike was talking
about.....

Hey Mike, the note about decision time I thought was quite timely. I have
some anxious moments myself - I have to keep in mind this is an all
volunteer group and we all have different thoughts, ideas, and priorities.
We DO have to set some drop dead dates about not only what you mentioned in
your note, but a few other items as well. This is a critical point in the
organization of the Tour, and we all have to pull together to make this
thing happen - and hopefully remind each other when we see things that
should get done that aren't ... so keep the frank (and constructive)
comments coming !
(and yes, there is a lot of e-mail at the moment, and I expect it to peak
around the end of February by which time I hope everyone has everything in
place and we have just a few details to tidy up)

I don't think so-the pres doesn't have e-mail. I will check again in early
feb. By the way my note about decision time was not aimed at you. I just
can't keep up with all the e-mail . For what it is worth I am going to put
the final touches to the Ottawa sector by mid Feb and then re-do the Ottawa
website. When I am done i will let you know and you can tell me what I have
to do to get it linked to JONAT.
