[Kcup] Second driver, running with HSMA group, etc.

This is a status update on the cars from TX. As of now the Kramer's and Blakes, 4 cars from Texas, are not planning to come. Our cars probably would qualify for the HMSA rules if they waiver the Speedsters, but their rules say otherwise. Joe, as you know these trips need to be planned well in advance and families are making irreversible decisions on summer plans. Bob Blake was going to buy a two car trailer and a truck just for this trip. I need to upgrade my truck for my 28' rig for that long haul. I've got too many miles on the old one to risk it. I no longer trying to convince the other 4 TxFOT guys into going since I can't promise I'll be attending.

Henry,

As usual it isnt one thing that is an issue on any project:

The absence of information.

The $650 entry fee doesnt help.

The run time is 20 minutes each for four sessions, if you dont qualify for HMSA tech.
(IF you do qualify, track time is not issue..then you have 20 minutes for eight sessions)

The big one for me is the first one.................

I think it can be mostly overcome if KCUP regroups and negotiates, if Cris is in a position to do so.

If not we will do the best with what we have................

I've been trying to keep up with the task of updating the website with

the info as it comes in.

What I perceive is hurting our entries is not so much the entry fee,

it's the fact it's a two day event with two thirty minute sessions on

the schedule. That's what killed my efforts to get some cars from the

East out there.

Do we have clarity yet on how to run with the HSMA group? If we can

spell out the process for running in a different group, the cost

associated with it, the implication of second drivers, etc, I'll update

fot-racing.com again.

This seems like a good time to take a 'snapshot' of 'intention to

enter'.
