Don, are you still using a 3 brush dynamo? Sounds like it's not putting out
enough voltage.

Subject: [Mg-mmm] P-type electrics

Hi Fellows,

Experiencing electrical problems on 35 PA. Dynamo producing but low rev
light stays on... dims... but stays on. Recent night drive left me in the
hands of AAA as battery could not support engine, headlights and dash
lights to get home.

I've attempted to review original cut-out, wiring and connections but no
clues.

Is there a "more modern" replacement (perhaps a voltage reg. from the T
series?) that would fit in the housing. Would like to stay original but
tired of fighting.
Comments/suggestions please
Thanks
Don B.

PS. After several years of vertical drive oil leak, 3 sets of new lip seals
and machining, complete realignment of assembly from block to head with the
"Bob Rich" tool,... thanks to several suggestions, it was resolved with a
small dab of RTV on the woodruff key slot!
D.
