[Mg-mmm] J2 Windscreen and wiper motor question

Yes Bill, early J2's had external vacuum tubing - 1/8" (from memory 
anyway) chromed brass..B  Routing is same as later vacuum - from center 
brass inlet plug with combination of brass tubing and rubber.

Fortunately it never rains in southern California.
