[Nobbc] xj tranny

Thanks, Joe. I got the tranny back in this weekend, although I didn't
reconnect the torque converter or driveshaft yet. Spent all afternoon just
getting it bolted in. But bolted in it is. And the TC spins freely. I was
cautioned to make sure it does. I guess some guys tighten down the bell
housing bolts before the TC is fully seated and end up puncturing the fluid
pump in the process. I decided to replace the u-joints and drive shaft
center bearing. I'm not really sure they need it, but now seems a good time
to do it while it's all apart. I ordered those parts today, but they won't
be here for a week or so.

You sure you want to sell your's? Everyone I know who has done so comes to
regret it. :) They're great cars and really quite easy to work on. And I
say this as a rank novice.

Dan, good job! I also have a XJ6. It is a 1982 with
307K miles on it. I bought it with 180K ten yrs ago.
Being single at that time, I did *everything* to it
except new leather. Alas, this year I will probably
sell it. Still runs well and blows cold air!
